A work session was held by the Board of Water Commissioners at 12:00 noon. Present were Chair Richard Fournier, Commissioners Paul Poulin, Lucien Langlois and ex-officio member Mayor David Bertrand. Also in attendance were Superintendent Viens and employees Craig Carrigan, Steven Lefebvre and Lynne C. Lessard.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the Proposed FY 2009 Budget.
Superintendent Viens handed out several scenarios for Budget Analysis Forecasting Water Rate Increases at Zero Percent (0%), 5%, 10% and 15%. Superintendent Viens reviewed the Fiscal 2009 Budget Item List. Also reviewed was the 2nd FY09 Budget Draft as prepared for the Board.
The group discussed the possibility of an increase of 6% in Assessment charges only, which would result in a 3% increase across the board.
The Public Hearing is scheduled for May 29th, 2008 at 6:00 pm at City Hall.
The Board members left at 1:30 PM.
