Berlin / Gorham ERT (Emergency Response Team)

The ERT (Emergency Response Team) is our department’s version of the more commonly known SWAT team. This team consists of officers with specialized training to be able to use weapons and tactics to contain and handle any serious and/or large scale incident that would put officers and/or public safety in jeopardy. The officers are trained in specialized weapons of both lethal and less lethal force and also in special tactics. The team also has a tactical dispatcher who is responsible for keeping of all logs, diagrams, and updating information as it becomes available. The team is a member of the NH Tactical Officers Association and trains monthly.
