Zoning Board of Adjustment

The Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 6:30 p.m. in the Auditorium of City Hall, 168 Main Street, Berlin, NH, to hear the following case:

02-24 and 03-24: Applications for a Variance (case 02-24) and a Special Exception (case 03-24) has been filed with the Berlin Zoning Board by Matthew & Alyssa Dupont . The subject property of both applications is 14 Belknap Street, Berlin, NH, Tax Map 129, Lot 104 located in a Residential Two-Family Zone. The request for a Variance, if permitted, would allow: a 36 foot by 24 foot in place of the current 15 foot by 25-foot garage/relief from the rear and front yard setback required by Article VII, Section 17-74 a & 17-74 b Front & Rear Yard Setback of the Berlin Zoning Ordinance. The request for a Special Exception, if approved, would allow a newly built 36 foot by 24 foot garage/864 square foot which exceeds the limit of 800 square foot in Article II, Section 17-26.1 of the Berlin Zoning Ordinance.
