Communications

disp centerThe Communications division is responsible for answering all incoming phone calls, both emergency and non-emergency, as well as 911 calls. Communications is also responsible for all radio and computer communications entering or leaving the police department. Communications also dispatch uniformed officers to calls and provide the officers with the initial information regarding reported crimes. The Communications division provides a link between department personnel and the public.

The Berlin Police Department Communications Division dispatches for numerous agencies to include:  Berlin Police Department, Berlin Fire Department, Berlin Emergency Medical Services, Milan & Dummer Ambulance, Milan Fire Department, along with taking non-business hour calls for Berlin Water Works, Berlin Waste Water Treatment, and Berlin Public Works.

Members of our division are dedicated employees who provide emergency services in a professional, compassionate, and comprehensive manner. Communications is comprised of a Communications Manager, 4 Full Time, and 2 Part Time, and 2 Per Diem Communications Specialists.
