When and how do I apply for a permit?
Permits must be issued and fees paid prior to any construction. Applications may be picked up at the Code Enforcement Office or printed from our Downloadable Forms tab. Because most permits need the approval of the Fire Department, Zoning Officer and the Building Inspector, it could take up to a week (typically 3-5 days) for a permit to be issued after the receipt of application. Permits will not be released without payment.
