FIRE DEPARTMENT TOWER ROOF

The City of Berlin will receive sealed bids for the Fire Department Tower Roof project located at 263 Main Street in Berlin, NH at the Berlin City Hall (168 Main Street, Berlin, NH 03570), until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read. 

The Project: The existing Berlin Fire Department has an existing Bell Tower with an approximately 14’ x 14’ footprint.  The Bell Tower has a pyramid roof that required re-roofing with new asphalt. The existing Bell Tower roof has communication equipment that must remain operational throughout all construction activities. The existing Bell Tower has a roof access hatch that will be replaced as part of the project scope.

A pre-bid conference will be held at the site local time on November 10, 2020 at 3:00 p.m.  All potential Bidders are encouraged to attend.

Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the City of Berlin or Alba Architects by appointment, and on www.constructionsummary.com. To be considered a responsive Bidder, the Contractor shall have obtained at least one set of electronic or paper plans and specifications from the Issuing Office, Alba Architects, by calling (603) 745-4770. 

The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the Work, and to negotiate contract terms with the Successful Bidder, and the right to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional Bids.  Also, Owner reserves the right to reject the Bid of any Bidder if Owner believes that it would not be in the best interest of the Project to make an award to that Bidder, whether because the Bid is non-responsive, or the Bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability, or fails to meet any other pertinent standard or criteria established by Owner.
