The Berlin Public Schools will receive sealed bids until no later than noon, prevailing time, Thursday, May
31st, 2018, at the Office of the Superintendent, 183 Hillside Avenue, Berlin, New Hampshire 03570, for
the Construction of a new entrance canopy and security screens at the main entrance, and Construction
of a new secure entry vestibule at the (Mini-Mounties) daycare facility at the back of the school. The
Contracts will include the assumption of a nominated sub-contractor selected for the supply and
installation of new and replacement security glazing systems and doors, all at the Berlin High School. Bid
Documents can be obtained from HEB Engineers, details listed below. The Berlin Public Schools reserves
the right to waive defects in form and minor irregularities and to reject any or all bids as determined to
be in its best interest.
A pre-bid conference will be held at the site May 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. prevailing time. All potential
Bidders are encouraged to attend.
To be considered a responsive Bidder, the Contractor shall have obtained at least one set of electronic
plans and specifications from HEB Engineers. The Bid will not be awarded to a Bidder unless a record of
request for plans and specifications exists with HEB Engineers. To meet this requirement, a prospective
Bidder must request plans and specifications using the name that is to appear in the Bid Documents.
The Successful Bidder shall furnish 100 percent Performance and Payment Bonds prior to the award of
the Contract.
